Punters Post Mortem – Terry Kennedy is partnered by supreme form experts, Ron Dufficy and Deane Lester, for this Monday (9am to 10am) review of the racing highlights from the previous weekend. Under Terry’s astute guidance, Ron and Dean expound their knowledgeable views on the winners, losers and those that should have won. It is a slick and smooth racing review and provides a valuable guide to future winners.
Racing HQ – This innovation to the Sky Sports Radio line-up is a fast-moving and up-to-date hour from 9am Tuesday to Friday. Genial host, Andrew Bensley, the busiest news hound in racing, keeps his audience ahead of the rest with a quick-fire procession of news, views, previews and interviews. Bensley prides himself on the sobriquet of 'Hoss' and he guarantees to unearth an entertaining bonanza with the emphasis on providing all of the latest racing information.
Inside Running – This extensive preview program is another platform for Andrew Bensley from 6:30 am every Saturday and national public holidays. Five and a half hours of live radio seems to fly with the procession of punter-friendly information. Every racing enthusiast aims to win and Bensley hits the target by providing all of the latest information to make the tricky task easier. An array of well-informed authorities give their professional predictions as an invaluable adjunct to revealing interviews with key jockeys and trainers.
Sports Sunday – Weekend radio has entered another dimension from 7am to 10am every Sunday. Jimmy Smith and Stuart Clark co-host the revitalized three-hours that now includes a dedicated racing segment featuring Daily Telegraph racing editor, Ray Thomas with likeable, loquacious larrikin and former jockey, Malcolm Johnston. A comprehensive wrap of the Saturday races and authoritative comment on major racing issues is a must for the big and small punters. After a successful riding career Miracle Malcolm has made a successful switch to the media. His insightful and sometimes humourous views blend with the highly-respected opinions of Ray Thomas. From 8am Jimmy Smith and Stuart Clark tackle all of the latest sports news. It’s a slick, fast-moving cavalcade of sporting information.
The Weekender – An innovation to the Sunday program line-up this is a boon to the lovers of the outdoors. Between 5am and 7am each Sunday, co-hosts Daryl Beattie and Adam “Mad Dog” Royter will be scanning the country to keep weekend recreationalists up-to-date with all of the latest information on the weather, fishing, boating, camping, caravanning and four-wheel driving. You could say that it will cover everything from creels to wheels, rods to roads, barramundi to boats. Adam Royter as his nickname may indicate is a colourful character with a passion for fishing while his co-host, Daryl Beattie, slightly more conservative, but is an ideal foil for Adam’s outlandishness. Daryl has a solid media background having been a member of the Network Ten team for more than a decade and previously won wide acclaim as a motorcycle racer. The program is designed to be entertaining and informative with regular updates on weather conditions and where the fish are biting.
